February 23 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
An event every month that begins at 10:00am on day Last of the month, repeating until December 28, 2018
Ever heard the song ‘Here we round the Mulberry Bush”? Well, the Mulberry Club is an informal support group that has been created to provide support for people who have ‘gone round again’ and their cancer has recurred/spread/advanced and is not going to go away.
You may have had a diagnosis and treatment for primary cancer in the past. You hoped you were cured and were getting on with your life… Then that uninvited visitor decided to come back again and stay with you.
Or your cancer was picked up at an already advanced stage. You and your loved ones are faced with something that may be treatable and controllable for a while but is not curable.
You may have questions that you don’t know where to go to get answers for, or that you are embarrassed to ask. You may be or feel alone, finding it difficult to talk with family, friends or the professionals about your thoughts, feelings and fears.
You may be one of those family members or friends. We’re here for those who have cancer and those who are supporting them. Please just come along to the group.
Its an emotional rollercoaster – its all so hard to deal with – physically, mentally and emotionally. The Mulberry Club is here to bring together people who are ‘in the same boat’ to provide mutual support. We aim to share experiences and information; it’s a safe place to talk with others who understand because they’re going through the same thing.
Come along, no obligation to stay, drop in for as long as you can.
We meet on the last Friday of the month, 10.00am – 12.30pm
