The Coates Centre offers free support and information for those whose lives have been impacted by illness. At the centre, you can access support groups and a range of wellbeing activities along with complementary therapies to help you cope with the challenges in your life.
You may be bereaved, diagnosed with, or caring for someone, who has a life limiting illness. We are here to help you, your family and your friends. These are times when things can be thrown into turmoil and there are always so many questions and problems to solve. We know that a confidential chat over a cup of tea, with someone who has an understanding of what is happening, can be all it takes to start to make a little positive difference.
You don’t need any referral and you don’t have to live in any specific postcode area, everyone is welcome. Simply call in for a drink and a chat with one of our trained volunteers – and just enjoy the relaxed and friendly environment. Or, come along to see and experience the wide range of free events, group activities and therapies that we offer.
